Another round of Bundesliga fixtures arrives this weekend, with both ends of the table becoming increasingly competitive as the matches continue.
The games have already been coming thick and fast since the German top-flight resumed earlier this month. Weekend and weekday matches have been keeping football supporters satisfied, with La Liga and Serie A set to follow suit.
Champions Bayern Munich are leading the way in the Bundesliga, and they continued their dominance in Tuesday’s Der Klassiker. Joshua Kimmich’s goal was enough to separate the sides in the early kick-off.
That win put Hansi Flick’s side seven points clear of Borussia Dortmund in second. While the title race is certainly not over, Lucien Favre’s men may find it hard to come back from such a deficit.
Elsewhere during the week, RB Leipzig dropped more points as they drew 2-2 at home to Hertha Berlin. Their closest competitors, however, failed to capitalise.
Borussia Monchengladbach were held at Werder Bremen, with Leverkusen on the receiving end of a 4-1 drubbing to Wolfsburg.
Frankfurt and Freiburg played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the game of the round.
And it’s the latter who get the upcoming action underway once again. They host Leverkusen on Friday evening.
It’s currently 7/2 for a home victory, and 4/6 for an away win. A draw can be backed at 3/1.
The games then come thick and fast on Saturday. Hertha Berlin host Augsburg, with a home win available at 5/6. An Augsburg win is currently 11/4, with a draw available at 13/5.
Wolfsburg have been given odds of 10/11 to beat Frankfurt, with the latter available at 13/5. A draw between the sides is also available at 13/5.
Leaders Bayern are 1/20 to overcome Fortuna Dusseldorf.
It’s 35/1 for the side in relegation trouble to somehow leave Allianz Arena with all three points, and 11/1 to secure a draw.
Monchengladbach then kick off the action on Sunday as they host Union Berlin. The home side are currently 4/9 to clinch victory, with the visitors currently 11/2. A draw is available at 16/5.
SC Paderborn are 7/1 to win their encounter with Dortmund, with the away outfit currently 3/10. A draw has been given odds of 4/1.
And Cologne meet Leipzig on Monday in the final fixture of the round. The former are available at 4/1 to win, with the latter currently 1/2. A draw is 7/2.
