Bristol City v Sheffield Utd : watch Live streaming on tv

Published

on

An interesting fixture is on the cards as Bristol City and Sheffield United go head-to-head at Ashton Gate on Tuesday.

Bristol City and Nigel Pearson are struggling to get a decent run together at the moment and its now only two wins in their last ten games for the West Country side.

Paul Heckingbottom’s Sheffield Utd team went through something of a shaky spell at the start of October with three defeats in their last four.

A good away win at West Brom last time out will have boosted confidence coming into this one and the Blades look to have got things back on track.

Both teams have had their fair share of struggles lately, and they’ll be eyeing a much-needed three points today; with that in mind, which of these teams will reign supreme at the end of this clash?

Bristol City are coming off a 1:1 draw against Swansea; despite keeping just 28 percent of the ball, Nigel Pearson’s men were able to hold their own against the Swans

. It’s important to point out that Bristol City have struggled to find their best form in recent months; they have just two wins in their last 10 matches, with two draws and six losses.

On that note, Nigel Pearson’s men find themselves in 14th place on the Championship table; they’ve suffered eight losses in 18 league games, winning six times.

Bristol City will set their sights on their seventh win of this campaign, and they’ll fancy their chances against an out-of-form Sheffield United side.

Sheffield United managed to end their winless streak with a 2:0 win at West Bromwich Albion last weekend; they had no wins in six prior matches, with three draws and three losses.

Despite their recent struggles however, the Blades have not had much difficulty finding the net; as they scored in 13 of their last 15 matches.

As it stands, Sheffield United are fourth on the table, with 29 points from 17 league games; they are six points behind league leaders Burnley, with a game in hand.

Also, Paul Heckingbottom’s men have been one of the best road teams in the Championship so far; only two teams have obtained more points than Sheffield United away from home this season.

As Sheffield United visit Ashton Gate, they’ll be eyeing their second consecutive win.

We would like to point out that Bristol City and Sheffield United have faced off a fair few times, and most of those clashes were low-scoring games.

As a matter of fact, four of the last five encounters between these teams saw less than three goals scored.

In the same vein, Sheffield United have been involved in a lot of low-scoring games in recent weeks; as seven of their last 10 matches went below the 2.5 goal mark.

Considering Bristol City’s last three games also went below this line, we shouldn’t expect a lot of goals in this match. The under 2.5 goals option pays at even odds.
