Scott Parker’s side make the short trip west to Brentford Community Stadium in miserable form, having lost all three league matches so far.
They have, however, already progressed through two rounds of the League Cup against lower-league opposition. A 1-0 win at Ipswich was enough to clinch a spot in the third round, where they beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-0.
Brentford meanwhile have had a mixed start to their league campaign, winning once, drawing once and losing once in their first three games.
But they will undoubtedly look to their cup form for inspiration. Thomas Frank’s side have twice beaten Premier League opposition, beginning with a 2-0 win at Southampton in the second round.
They then drew 2-2 with West Brom in round three, but knocked Slaven Bilic’s men out 5-4 on penalties.
At 13/10, it may be worth getting behind the Bees to win against top-flight opposition for the third time this season.
Fulham can be backed at 9/4 to bounce back from their league despair with a win, with a draw between the sides available at 5/2.
Aleksandar Mitrovic has already scored once in the cup, and he has added to that tally with two goals in the league.
The Serbian may be called upon on Thursday evening in order to help avoid an upset.
He is currently 23/5 to score first.
His team-mates Aboubakar Kamara and Bobby Reid are also off the mark in the competition. They can be backed at 15/2 and 9/1 respectively to score the game’s opening goal.
But Brentford’s forwards will want to enjoy their night in front of goal, especially with a chance to enjoy a cup run this season up for grabs.
Ivan Toney is currently 23/4 to score first, with Said Benrahma available at 7/1.
It’s currently 18/5 for a home win and both teams to score, with an away victory and both teams to score available at 5/1.
