Blackburn v Sheff Utd – Is there a live stream? What time is kick-off?

Sheffield Utd travel to Ewood Park to take on Blackburn in the EFL Championship today.

Blackburn Rovers were on a small upward trajectory until their worst defeat of the Tony Mowbray era.

The Lancashire outfit were hoping to push into the play-offs by overturning a rampant Fulham team but they got the worst possible result.

Jan Paul van Hecke was sent off for a karate kick after half-an-hour, at 2-0, and the scoreline spiralled out of control, with Rovers going on to lose 7-0.

The Sheffield United bandwagon has never really got going but at least the Blades have pulled clear of the relegation zone. Slaviša Jokanović has a good track record at Championship level but taking on a team that have just come on the back of massive overachievements is a difficult task.

Blackburn v Sheff Utd Match Team News

Hayden Carter should come in for van Hecke, unless Daniel Ayala is fit.

Sam Gallagher could possibly return after recovering from his slight injury. Leighton Clarkson could be an option in the Rovers midfield, with Mowbray likely to rotate after the embarrassment on Wednesday night.

In the other camp, Jokanovic could call upon Billy Sharp with Lys Mousset potentially the one making way. Rhian Brewster might also drop out with Iliman Ndiaye in contention.

Blackburn v Sheff Utd Live Streaming Match Prediction

Neither team will want to lose, particularly the hosts. Mowbray’s Blackburn had been pushing at the higher end of the table but the manner of their loss to Fulham left supporters reeling.
Rovers have put less emphasis on possession this season and that has largely been to their benefit but they need to show a tremendous amount of character now.

Mowbray does polarise fans a little because, while he has offered some stability, some fans are concerned that he doesn’t have what it takes to take them back to the top-flight.

A 7-0 defeat suggests that players feel that they can take liberties a little bit.

They should be more organised and they should be more on the ball but Sheffield United will offer a relative challenge.

There are some good, workmanlike players in Jokanovic’s team and, while it hasn’t quite properly gelled together for the new manager, they are at least pushing up the table now instead of starting down the proverbial barrel.

Prediction: Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Sheffield United
