It is Frankfurt who might just have the upper hand in terms of the league campaign.

Adi Hutter’s side remain unbeaten in the Bundesliga this season, winning twice and drawing twice so far.

But the champions sit second, two spots ahead of Frankfurt, having picked up three wins. They did, however, lose out to Hoffenheim last month.

However, since then they have won all five of their games in all competitions, scoring three times in two of those games and four times in the other three.

The hosts can be backed at 1/5 to win once again on Saturday.

Their opponents have been given odds of 11/1 to win the game.

And a draw is currently available at 13/2.

Last season’s meetings have certainly thrown up some entertaining, high-scoring affairs.

Frankfurt caused a huge shock when the clubs met in league action at Commerzbank-Arena, with the home side winning the game 5-1.

Bayern, however, got their revenge in the reverse fixture. They clinched a 5-2 victory, before adding further pain by beating Frankfurt 2-1 in the DFB Pokal semi-final.

Serial goalscorer Robert Lewandowski was on target in all three of those encounters.

The Poland international netted an astonishing 34 league goals last season. And he already has seven this time around.

He is currently 13/8 to score first on Saturday.

Having already opened his Bayern account in the cup, former Stoke and PSG striker Eric Chupo-Moting is currently 9/2 to score the game’s opening goal.

Fellow recent arrival Leroy Sane can be backed at 19/4.

Frankfurt defender Martin Hinteregger netted both of his club’s goals in this fixture last season.

He has been given odds of 7/1 to find the net once again.

With both teams scoring in all three previous meetings, it’s currently 8/15 for the same outcome this time around.
