The Premier League side have enjoyed a hugely successful start to the campaign. They’ve kept two clean sheets from their 1-0 and 3-0 victories over Sheffield United and Fulham respectively.
They’ve also eased through the cup, beating Burton 3-1 before defeating Bristol City 3-0 in rounds two and three respectively.
Stoke meanwhile have one win, one draw and one loss to their name so far in the Championship this season, but they will be relying on previous cup results to get them through on Thursday.
Michael O’Neill’s men have already pulled off a huge upset in the competition. Their third round 1-0 win over Gillingham was perhaps expected, but the Potters were not expected to even get to that stage.
But they overcame the odds to knock out Nuno Espirito Santo’s talented Wolves side, with Jacob Brown netting the only goal of the game in the 86th minute.

The Championship outfit can be backed at 9/2 to pull off another shock win.
Villa are currently 4/6 to win the game, with a draw available at 31/10.
The clubs last met in the 2018/19 Championship season, where Villa secured their return to the Premier League via the play-offs.
But they didn’t have things their own way in the two games. An exciting 2-2 draw was battled out at Villa Park, with the return match at Britannia Stadium resulting in a 1-1 stalemate.
Another 2-2 encounter can be backed at 16/1, with a repeat of their 1-1 draw available at 13/2.
But Smith has undoubtedly strengthened his squad since then.
New signing Ollie Watkins already has two goals in this season’s competition. He is currently 16/5 to score first, and 6/5 to score anytime.
His fellow forwards Keinan Davis and Bertrand Traore have also opened their League Cup accounts. They can be backed at 4/1 and 5/1 respectively to open the scoring.
Stoke’s Lee Gregory and Steven Fletcher are both currently 14/5 to score anytime. And their team-mates Sam Vokes and Nick Powell are available at 7/2 and 5/1 respectively.
