After a miserable start to their Premier League season, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side come into tonight’s Carabao Cup tie with Wimbledon with two consecutive wins under their belt.
Narrow single goal victories over Norwich and Burnley will not have exactly set things alight in North London but a win is a win, and Arsenal now find themselves in 13th place in the Premier League.
In the previous round of the Carabao Cup they smashed Championship side West Brom 6-0 and will be looking for another convincing win tonight.
Club captain Granit Xhaka will serve out the final game of his three match ban, while Kieran Tierney is reported to be suffering from leg cramps and will not be risked here.
Their opponents Wimbledon currently lie in 7th place in League One, and come into this one on the back of a 1-0 home defeat to Plymouth Argyle but there is of course a massive gulf in class between the teams tonight.

Arsenal with a -3 goal handicap at 2/1 probably looks the best bet for tonight, but this one is surely for viewing pleasure only.
