The Scot heads into the game on the back of an opening-round victory over Japanese native Yoshihito Nishioka. The 33-year-old came from two sets and a break down to win 4-6, 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-4), 6-4.
And 20-year-old Auger-Aliassime is fresh from a 6-3, 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (8-6) victory over Brazilian Thiago Monteiro.
When is Andy Murray playing next?
Andy Murray’s next game is against Felix Auger-Aliassime with the estimated start time at 01:30GMT early Friday morning.
It’s another difficult task for Murray, who played his first Grand Slam match in 20 months when he overcame Nishioka on Tuesday. The game lasted almost five hours, but he now has to do it all again in the night session of Day 4.
It was the tenth comeback of his career, and one which has set up the very first meeting between Murray and his Canadian opponent.
The experienced athlete is aiming to reach the third round of the tournament for the first time since 2016, but he comes up against a man in form.
Auger-Aliassime reached back-to-back ATP Tour finals earlier this year at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam and the Open 13 Provence in Marseille. He sits at 21st in the world, and will certainly provide a stern test for Murray.
It’s currently 8/15 for the Canadian to come out on top, and 6/4 for the Scot to win the match.
