The BBC is keeping audiences hooked this autumn with another major TV highlight. After the huge success of The Celebrity Traitors, the broadcaster is back with more must-watch entertainment as Celebrity Race Across the World returns for its third series, airing on BBC One this Thursday at 8pm, writes Dave James.

This year’s competition will see four celebrity duos take on a 5,900km race from the Caribbean to Colombia’s striking Peninsula de La Guajira. Travelling without phones, flights, or credit cards, the pairs must make their way across Central America using only the cash equivalent of a plane ticket — testing their resilience, teamwork, and resourcefulness at every turn.

The celebrity line-up features familiar faces from television, radio, and music, all paired with close family members or partners:

  • Anita Rani (broadcaster and writer) with her dad, Bal
  • Dylan Llewellyn (Derry Girls actor) with his mum, Jackie
  • Tyler West (DJ and presenter) with his partner Molly Rainford (actor and singer)
  • Roman Kemp (broadcaster) with his sister Harleymoon Kemp (singer-songwriter)

Ahead of Thursday’s premiere, bookmakers have released the latest odds on which duo could go the distance and claim victory in Celebrity Race Across the World Series 3:

Tyler West & Molly Rainford2/133.3%

Roman Kemp and his sister Harleymoon currently lead the betting, with bookmakers backing their mix of determination and strong sibling bond to carry them far in the competition.

Tyler West and Molly Rainford, however, remain close behind as strong contenders. Speaking to the BBC ahead of the launch, Molly said:

“It was a no-brainer to do it together, we’re so comfortable with each other and already live together, so we know we can handle anything.”

The six-part series will air weekly on Thursdays at 8pm from 6 November on BBC One and will also be available on BBC iPlayer.

For those new to the format, Race Across the World sees contestants navigate vast regions without modern luxuries, relying only on limited funds and local transport.

The most recent civilian series aired in April and is available on BBC iPlayer, giving fans the perfect chance to catch up before this year’s celebrity edition begins its thrilling Central American adventure.
